Enabling Auto-renew on your domain registration(s)
If you have a domain name, you should consider adding a credit card to your domain registrar account and enabling auto-renew so that your domain registration is automatically renewed each year. You will still have to keep the card information up to date and double-check that the domain renews on schedule, but it's one less thing waiting to slip through the cracks in your administrative task list.
If you decide to add a credit card to your Cloudflare account and enable Auto-renew, here's how to do it.
- Log in to your cloudflare account.
- Under the User menu, choose Billing.
- On the Billing page, choose Payment info.
- Add your credit card information and billing address (or check that it is up to date and correct if you already have a card on file).
- Choose Domain Registration from the left sidebar.
- In the Manage Domains section, enable Auto-renew for your domain(s).
- Take note of the expiration date. Currently, Cloudflare will charge your card for the annual registration fee one month before the expiration date. It's a good idea to add that date to your calendar with an alert to check that your domain has been renewed on schedule.
- At the top of the Manage Domains section, check your Default Contact information and Edit if necessary.
