Enabling Auto-renew on your domain registration(s)

If you have a domain name, you should consider adding a credit card to your domain registrar account and enabling auto-renew so that your domain registration is automatically renewed each year. You will still have to keep the card information up to date and double-check that the domain renews on schedule, but it's one less thing waiting to slip through the cracks in your administrative task list.

If you decide to add a credit card to your Cloudflare account and enable Auto-renew, here's how to do it.

  1. Log in to your cloudflare account.
  2. Under the User menu, choose Billing.
  3. On the Billing page, choose Payment info.
  4. Add your credit card information and billing address (or check that it is up to date and correct if you already have a card on file).
  5. Choose Domain Registration from the left sidebar.
  6. In the Manage Domains section, enable Auto-renew for your domain(s).
  7. Take note of the expiration date. Currently, Cloudflare will charge your card for the annual registration fee one month before the expiration date. It's a good idea to add that date to your calendar with an alert to check that your domain has been renewed on schedule.
  8. At the top of the Manage Domains section, check your Default Contact information and Edit if necessary.
